Bestsellers > Clock Radio > Sony

Always know what time it is. The Sony ICF-C318 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio with Dual Alarm has a 0.9" green LED display that is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. It hosts a number of features including automatic time set, automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment, dual alarm, built-in calendar, AM/FM tuner and full power memory back up. The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. Dual alarms with individual alarm indicators let you set two separate wake-up times with differing wake-up settings. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to re-set the clock

great product for couples. Instead of flipping a coin for who gets the music or buzzer alarm, this clock gives the option for both to have either music or buzzer. This is exactly why I purchased this clock. LED display light is a perfect brightness for a nice sleep.

Excellent clock, good alarm amazing FM and AM reception., April 15, 2009
This unit is small and does not take much space away from the night-table. The alarms (2) are easy to set and work reliably. The brightness is adjustable and we find the lowest setting just perfect for the night. Loudness of alarm is adequate. Finally the price is very low for such quality electronic device, which incidentally has a surprisingly good reception of AM and FM radio stations.
We would recommend this device to any-one without reservations.

Chronometer > Men > Omega

Set a course for adventure with this classic Omega Seamaster 300M stainless steel men's automatic chronometer watch, part of Omega's James Bond collection. You'll be able to negotiate all manner of adventures and still look stylish in the boardroom or at the baccarat table. This highly accurate, self-winding timepiece is also a great diving watch, with water resistance to 300 meters (984 feet) and a helium escape valve, which allows helium to escape from inside the watch when the watch is worn in highly pressurized environments (such as long-term underwater work evading the bad guys). The large silver rhodium-plated case measures 41mm wide (1.61 inches) and it's complemented by a handsome stainless steel bracelet band. A blue elapsed time unidirectional bezel frames a wavy blue dial that includes luminous dotted hour markers, luminous-tipped skeleton hands, and a date window at 3 o'clock. Other features include a 48-hour power reserve and scratch-resistant and glare-proofed domed sapphire crystal.
It's powered by Omega's break-through Co-Axial escapement. Developed in conjunction with master watchmaker George Daniels, it's based on double co-axial escape wheel, a lever with three pallet stones and impulse stone on the balance roller, together with a free sprung-balance. The Co-Axial escapement system reduces sliding friction compared with the lever escapement and thus ensures greater accuracy over time.
This watch also features the Omega 2500 caliber automatic movement, which has been certified as a chronometer by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Control). Only 3 percent of watches produced in Switzerland are "chronometer-certified." To achieve this highly coveted certification, the movements are subjected to numerous tests over a period of 15 consecutive days and nights, in five positions and at three different temperatures.
Product Features:
+Quality Swiss Automatic movement; Functions without a battery; Powers automatically with the movement of your arm
+Domed, anti-reflective scratch-resistant sapphire crystal
+Case diameter: 41 mm
+Stainless-steel case; Blue dial; Date function
+Water-resistant to 300 M (1000 feet)

Watchmakers Advice, December 21, 2007
I am rather opinionated when it comes to luxury watches. This comes from spending 2 years in watchmaking school, studying directly under the guidance of a certified master swiss watchmaker who came here from Europe. Watches, especially mid to high grade swiss watches, are a passion of mine. I am not loyal to a brand or a style or anything else. I judge them for what they are, in terms of quality, function, construction, and style. A watchmakers point of view.
This said I will tell you that this particular watch is what I consider to be a "best kept secret" sort of watch. This is an AUTOMATIC watch (read: Mechanical - NOT Quartz), and of CHRONOMETER grade function. Chronometer as used here is a measure of accurate timekeeping, not quality - a point often misunderstood - and is used mostly from a marketing point of view by companies such as Rolex. HOWEVER. This movement in THIS watch is actually EXCELLENT in terms of quality, time keeping ability, and construction - easily comparable to other Swiss made movements from other famous manufacturers costing several times as much. This watch, properly serviced, will provide a lifetime of use - and probably more. Absolutely the sort of watch you pass down to the next generation.
All in all - and EXCELLENT choice - especially for those seeking their first QUALITY Swiss watch purchase.

Beautiful!, August 19, 2005
The watch has a nice weight, beautiful face and is generously sized. I need to have several links removed before I can wear it. It comes nicely packaged, although at first, I didn't think that instructions and warranty paperwork were included. They were hidden inside the top of the watch box. It was difficult at first to pull out the pin in order to set the time, but once I got the pin out, it was a snap to adjust the date and time.
All in all, an excellent watch for a great price!

Durable, accurate, reliable... just buy it. XD, December 29, 2005
I've had this watch for the past three months, and I *love* it. The crystal does not scratch normally (i.e. dragging a metal nail across the glass does not apply), keeps accurate time, and it is sooooo freakin' shiny. In the sunlight, it really does go bling bling. ^_^
For all you people who are worried that an automatic wrist-wind watch will keep worse time than a quartz, I can assure you that myth does not apply here. I have had to reset the time only once, and that was because I left it for two days without moving it around. I would say the accuracy is about +/- 5 to 10 seconds. I think the Miyota automatic mechanism on this watch can spank any Swiss-made mechanism out there... Well, that is if you don't take into account how it'll lose time after around 24 hours without wrist movement.
As for the automatic mechanism itself, I work in a lab so I do a lot of mixing, shaking, throwing chemicals out the window, etc., but it still keeps very accurate time. I don't think it's possible to overwind the mechanism by moving your hand too much, and I'm sure it's packed with anti-shock mechanisms to put up with my constant abuse.
What else... It's also very easy to size the watch yourself and remove the segments. All you need to do is poke at the metal rod holding the segment together with a dulled pushpin so that the rod would go out in the direction of the arrows on the back side of the bracelet (if you have the watch in front of you, it'll make sense). Of course, if you're in doubt, a trustworthy jewelry store (one that won't scratch up your watch) can re-size it for five or six bucks.
Well, I guess there is one con, and that is the glow-in-the-dark hands and stuff only stay lit for about 1-2 hours. When it's lit, however, it's very bright. Not a big deal for me, but I guess this wouldn't be a good watch if you're a gold-digger or coalminer or something of that sort.
